Job Description

Techint Engineering & Construction, a leading international contractor, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Rotating Engineer for its Milan office. He / She will be part of the Mechanical Department and work in a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing projects in the Industrial sector, such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, LNG, Green and Energy Transition technologies, among others. He / She ensures the correct execution of activities related to machinery and packages for the assigned projects, both during operating and bidding phases. Responsibilities include: Issuing technical documents such as specifications, material requisitions, and data sheets. Performing preliminary machinery and auxiliaries selection. Contributing to interdisciplinary documents like equipment lists, electrical load lists, and project design basis. Analyzing equipment suppliers’ offers and issuing technical bid evaluations. Following up on equipment supplies and documentation, resolving technical issues, and maintaining contacts with suppliers, other disciplines, and customers. Coordinating with other disciplines for activity and documentation development. Managing project schedules and participating in project meetings. The Lead Mechanical Rotating Engineer may coordinate other machinery and packages engineers across different company locations, review their work, and manage tasks independently. The role requires executing work in compliance with company and project standards, quality, codes of conduct, contractual requirements, and schedules. Staying updated on international standards, codes, and market news related to machinery is essential. The essential requirements are: A degree in Engineering. Minimum of 5 years experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, or LNG plants. Knowledge of common industrial machinery, equipment, processes, standards, and codes. Proficiency in MS Office, document management tools, and AutoCAD. Fluency in Italian and English; Spanish is a plus.
