Group Tax Assistant

As a Group Tax Assistant , you'll play a key role in supporting our Group Finance Team with tax compliance and advisory work. You'll assist in preparing UK Corporate Tax and VAT returns, ensure compliance for cross-border transactions, and contribute to strategic projects such as restructuring and M&A. This role offers exposure to a wide range of tax matters, giving you the opportunity to develop your expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment. What You'll Do Assist with the preparation and submission of UK Corporate Tax and VAT returns. Support compliance for cross-border trade, including transactions between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Help manage Irish and EU VAT and corporate submissions. Contribute to tax risk assessments and the implementation of monitoring systems. Review and improve internal procedures to ensure VAT compliance. Provide support on projects such as restructuring, M&A, and financing to optimise tax efficiency. What We're Looking For Degree educated or equivalent, ideally with a tax or accounting qualification (ACA, CTA, ATT). Strong attention to detail and ability to explain complex tax issues clearly. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload. Strong interpersonal skills with a transparent and honest communication style. Experience working with HMRC is desirable. Comfortable working in a hybrid office/home environment.
