Our site in Trento ( Italy ) is currently looking for a: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER Leads at plant level the implementation and execution of Supply Chain processes and policies, in accordance with the Divisional strategy. Leads the plant-based Supply Chain organization (including all sub-functions) and is responsible for SC performance, staff management and development. Responsibilities: Plant Supply Chain Activities The plant / site Supply Chain organization includes three sub-functions, covering all plant-based Supply Chain activities and processes (from customer demand receipt through to physical shipment of finished products): production planning, purchasing, materials planning and call-off), Warehouse / Logistics The role of the Supply Chain Manager is to manage and coordinate the activities of these three departments to optimize the goods and information flows to fulfil customer demand in the most efficient and effective way – in accordance with policies and procedures developed at Divisional level. Supply Chain Organization Production Planning: Receives the Customers / other plants requirements through the Sales and Customer Service departments, oversees Demand Planning and orders processing. Manages and supports the Production Planning department in defining the plant production plan that best fulfils customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and plant efficiency. Implements procedures and policies to monitor changes in the production plans, due to internal or external reasons Materials planning: Oversees the materials requirements planning necessary to fulfil the production plans. The planning team is responsible for verifying the material requirements produced through MRP runs, and liaises with suppliers to ensure the on-time delivery of goods to the plant. Inventory management: Manages the local inventory with the objective of keeping the optimal stock level (in line with Divisional guidelines and inventory policies), taking into consideration customer agreements on safety stocks for components availability. Monitors plant’s Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) materials Warehousing and Logistics: Implements at plant level processes, procedures, and policies to assure effective and efficient results in terms of: Warehousing (inventory accuracy, productivity, inventory management, picking punctuality), Inbound transport from suppliers (service and costs), Outbound transport to customers (service and costs). Budgeting process: Contributes to the plant’s budgeting process and monitors Supply Chain costs against the budget throughout the year (both in terms of department costs and in terms of external spend such as external warehousing, transportation, 3PL’s, obsolescence/destruction costs). Supports variance analysis and any reforecast process. Staff management: Manages the local Supply Chain resources and promotes people growth and competence improvement. Coaches staff through the implementation of new/improved Supply Chain processes and tools. Quality and HSE: Actively supports the application of the integrated management system and certifications adopted by the company (IFS), collaborates in the effective development of the same with constant attention to risk prevention and in accordance with company policies, contributes to improvement activities and ensures the achievement of defined targets Requirements: Fluency in English as a prerequisite Bachelor-educated, ideally with a technical qualification such as Engineering/Business Administration Ideally possessing a professional Supply Chain qualification 5 years of experience leading a Supply Chain team , ideally within an FMCG environment, covering a managerial role Experience in a multinational company Experience in leading or supporting LEAN processes Join US!
