Role Overview This position is part of the Digital Transformation and Information Technology (DT-IT) organization supporting the advanced manufacturing site in Catania. The main responsibilities include : Supporting users in Engineering Data Analysis applications Resolving incidents reported by users, analyzing and debugging business cases versus application behavior Designing, developing, and deploying workarounds to resume production activities Collecting and analyzing user requirements for application enhancements Participating in application qualification and user acceptance testing (UAT) Collaborating with application teams and external software providers in designing and developing applications Providing on-call support for critical issues outside business hours Contributing to the definition of new solutions and proofs of concept (POC) Writing and maintaining technical documentation Supporting site digital transformation initiatives Utilizing technologies such as scripting in Linux, Python, R, PERL, Oracle PL / SQL, and reporting tools Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have : A graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field Two to three years of experience in development Fluency in English The ability to travel and be on duty as required Additional requirements include : A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology Experience level less than 2 years The position is based in Catania and involves interaction with engineers globally.
