Job Description

We’re hiring a Satellite Senior Systems Engineer on behalf of an Italian aerospace company specializing in the production of small satellite platforms, ranging from CubeSats to 250kg platforms, and innovative products to enhance space explorer comfort. The company's activities encompass design, development, integration, qualification, and operational services, all conducted in-house. Mission : The Small Satellite Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for satellite architecture, design, development, and qualification of small satellites. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) : Technical responsibility for system-level activities Coordination with the Program Manager, Unit Heads, and Subsystem Engineers Generation of system engineering, design, development, and verification plans Definition and management of technical requirements and specifications Supporting mission and operations planning Managing system budgets Preparation of technical documentation for reviews with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers Review of technical documentation related to systems and subsystems Support for AIT, AIV, and qualification activities Support for NRB, CCB, and PCB processes Support for risk assessments General Requirements : Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering 5-10 years of relevant experience Flexibility and team-working skills Proactive and hands-on approach Ability to work under tight schedules Experience coordinating multidisciplinary and international teams Ability to analyze and report Proficiency in English; Italian is a plus Hybrid remote work possible (not fully remote) Required Skills & Experience : Experience in satellite design, development, and qualification Understanding of satellite architecture and design principles Experience managing industrial activities and reviews Knowledge of aerospace standards such as ECSS, MIL, NASA STD Familiarity with NASA STD Experience with DOORS or similar tools Knowledge of orbital dynamics and analyses using STK or similar tools Additional Assets : Knowledge of Ground Segment utilization Frequency and spectrum management expertise Understanding of real-time / near real-time navigation Location : Turin (Torino), Italy J-18808-Ljbffr J-18808-Ljbffr
