The company has a Pan-European platform developing, manufacturing, and providing high-quality, affordable medicines to over 100 million people in Europe. With four manufacturing sites and a broad network of external partners, the company ensures supply security and focuses on key therapeutic areas like Cardiology, Diabetes, Oncology, Respiratory, and CNS, with plans to expand its portfolio. The Global Head of Engineering will execute strategies aligned with Product Supply objectives and be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic and operational excellence. The role is based in Europe with frequent travel, not necessarily from the headquarters. Main Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Define and implement a global engineering strategy aligned with business goals. Standardize processes, technologies, and best practices worldwide. Advise the Product Supply Leadership Team strategically. Integrate Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) into engineering activities. Ensure compliance with HSE standards and lead sustainability efforts. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Operational Excellence Oversee engineering performance, CAPEX, asset lifecycle, supply reliability, maintenance, and automation. Ensure facilities and equipment meet safety and efficiency standards. Lead multiyear CAPEX and major global projects. Innovation and Technology Drive Industry 4.0 adoption and automation. Enhance operational efficiency and sustainability through innovation. People Development Build and lead high-performing global engineering teams. Implement career development and growth initiatives. Ensure availability of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for support. Sustainability and Value Creation Optimize resources for cost efficiency, quality, and compliance. Reduce environmental impact and improve energy efficiency. Maintain site master and recapitalization plans. Risk Management and Resilience Identify and mitigate engineering risks. Establish contingency plans for operational continuity.
