This is a unique opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses on complex estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters. The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 6 years of experience in estate planning, tax structuring, and wealth preservation strategies. This role involves high-level client interaction, cross-department collaboration, and the chance to contribute to a market-leading practice known for its integrity, innovation, and results. Key Responsibilities: Advise clients on estate, gift, income, and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies Draft and review sophisticated estate planning documents, including irrevocable trusts, GRATs, IDGTs, FLPs, and charitable trusts Develop and implement wealth transfer strategies for high-net-worth individuals and family offices Provide legal guidance on tax-efficient succession planning for family-owned businesses Support the firm’s fiduciary administration practice as needed, including probate and trust administration Collaborate with other attorneys in tax, corporate, and real estate practice groups Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax laws affecting estate planning Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar (preferably [insert state]) 3–6 years of experience in estate planning and transfer tax law at a law firm or boutique estate planning practice LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required Deep understanding of federal income and transfer tax rules applicable to individuals, trusts, and estates Demonstrated excellence in drafting complex estate planning instruments Strong interpersonal and client-relations skills, with a high degree of professionalism Exceptional analytical, research, and written communication abilities
