First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR Level I for a travel nursing job in Lodi, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 8 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures. This includes preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The CVOR RN works closely with the surgical team, ensuring patient safety, sterile technique, and optimal surgical outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs during complex cardiovascular surgeries (e.g., CABG, valve replacement, aortic repair). Prepare and maintain the sterile field, surgical instruments, and necessary equipment. Perform circulating and/or scrub nurse roles as assigned. Ensure accurate patient identification, surgical site verification, and adherence to timeout procedures. Monitor patient vitals, hemodynamic status, and respond promptly to changes during surgery. Administer medications and fluids intraoperatively under physician direction. Anticipate surgeon needs and maintain focus on procedural flow. This need is for a Cardiothoracic OR RN with surgical tech background required. We will be starting an open heart program in November. This is a new service line for us. covering CV and thoracic cases while waiting for hearts to start. They’ll be scheduled Monday – Friday and will be on call for CV, CT and hearts 50% of their time. The volume will be very low. One surgeon, new to us so a lot of stand by but very little call back is anticipated.
