Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Orthopedic Surgery - $120 to $150 per hour in Iowa

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon for an exciting Locum Tenens opportunity in Iowa . This position offers weekdays only (Monday to Friday, 8 AM–5 PM), with weeknight call coverage and no weekend responsibilities —perfect for a surgeon seeking a balanced schedule. Key Highlights: Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Call: Weeknight call only | No weekend coverage Setting: Inpatient, Emergency, OR | No telehealth Average Appointment Time: 10–30 minutes (consults, rechecks, post-ops, procedures) Teaching Opportunities: Involvement with IM/FM residents & PA students Practice Environment: Team includes 4 physicians and full locum support Advanced Practice Providers: Supported by 1 nurse/provider, 3 cast techs Support Staff: 3 receptionists, 2 surgery schedulers Facilities On-site: Medical Imaging, Lab, Pharmacy EMR: GE Centricity (Clinic), EPIC (Hospital) Hospital Census: ~160 patients/day (mostly consults) ️ Procedures Offered: Total Hip, Knee, Shoulder Replacements Hand, Wrist, Knee, Shoulder, Hip, Ankle & Foot Surgeries Trauma Injuries, Fracture Care, Sports Medicine
