Pay Information $2,218 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must be in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Inpatient oncology experience - Blood/blood product administration - Infusion pump management - Starting IVs - Isolation precautions - Neutropenic precautions Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology for our Oncology Progressive Care unit. This unit is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to all patients. Our care team consists of nurses, physicians, patient care assistants, case managers, and unit support staff. We focus on caring for stable progressive care patients, patients with a diagnosis or history of cancer, end-of-life care, and medical level of care. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to become chemotherapy trained and pursue certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN). Weekend coverage will be required every other weekend, and no call is necessary. Floating to other areas within the facility will be required. The expected staffing ratios on the unit are 1:4 or 1:5.
