Pay Information $1,992 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years in NICU License: Valid state nursing license or compact license Certifications: BCLS & NRP required Must-Have: - First-time travelers accepted - Experience with Level II NICU admissions and normal newborns (32 weeks or greater) - Skills in attending high-risk deliveries and managing special procedures Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in the NICU. The nurse will be responsible for the care of infants, including level II NICU admissions and normal newborns. The role involves attending vaginal and cesarean deliveries as well as high-risk deliveries. Additionally, the nurse will manage CPAP, BiPap, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps. The staffing ratio is typically 1 nurse to 3 infants. Travel nurses are not expected to care for mother-baby couplets unless they possess the necessary skills and competencies. The nurse must have experience in neonatal dosage calculations and ventilator management. Candidates must be familiar with charting systems, preferably Community Hospital. The successful candidate will need to provide proof of local address. Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years are required. The candidate should also confirm availability for an interview.
