Pay Information $2,012 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Antepartum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active compact license Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (required), ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: First time travelers accepted. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Candidates will be screened for less than 2 years or no experience with C-sections. Intermediate AWHONN experience is required for manager approval. Floating to the postpartum unit is required. Description: This position involves care for high-risk antepartum patients ranging from 6 weeks to 41 weeks. Conditions managed include preterm labor, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, premature rupture of membranes, twins, and substance use disorders in pregnancy. The role includes the care of patients experiencing fetal demise or loss both antepartum and postpartum, as well as postpartum mothers with babies in the NICU. No newborns will be present on this unit. Nursing support includes performing amnio or sterile spec exams at the bedside, operating PCA pumps, maintaining PICC/Central Lines, managing heparin and insulin drips, and administering magnesium sulfate therapy. Candidates should have the capability to assist with sterile speculum exams, including assessments of effacement, dilation, station, and presentation. The role requires circulating for C-sections as necessary.
