It requires a nurse to manage a patient ratio of 4:1 on all shifts. The average daily census is 30 patients. Every other weekend availability is required. Floating within the service line is expected. Responsibilities include administering auto stem cell transplants and chemotherapy. BCLS certification is mandatory, while chemotherapy certification is preferred. A minimum of one year of general medical/surgical experience is required, with an openness to training in oncology and chemotherapy patient care. Special equipment used in the unit may include telemetry devices. The unit supports diverse interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
