TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110! Pay Information $2,300 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: - EKG interpretation skills - IV insulin protocol knowledge - Feeding tube care and management experience - Pre/post hemodialysis management experience - Blood product administration skills - Central line care and management capabilities - Phlebotomy and IV starting experience Description: The position requires a registered nurse to provide care to patients who are waiting to be admitted. Patients will receive care in an emergency department setting until beds become available. Nurses will interpret dysrhythmias and manage IV insulin protocols. Feeding tube care and management is required. The responsibilities include pre/post hemodialysis management and accessing ports for administration. Blood product administration and central line care are essential duties. Phlebotomy and peripheral line care experience is necessary. Candidates should be competent in managing PICC lines and starting IVs. Knowledge of heparin protocols and cardiac drips without titration is required. Handling PCA and thrombolytic agents is expected. Experience with substance withdrawal and ortho trauma management is important. Familiarity with tracheostomy management and wound care is beneficial. The role includes the use of cannulas, face masks, and portable oxygen tanks while adhering to isolation precautions. Candidates must be able to work every other weekend as required. A screening process will verify missing required skills before employment is confirmed. All selected candidates are expected to float within their service line as needed. Proper fit testing for mask usage is mandatory for all staff.
