Job Description

HSE Advisor Southampton Permanent £50,000–£55,000 We’re seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support the implementation and continual improvement of established HSE management systems at a large engineering and manufacturing facility. Reporting to the UK QHSE Senior Director and working closely with site management, you’ll ensure effective delivery of HSE strategy while overseeing site-level governance and compliance. The HSE Advisor will be responsible for: Communicating and embedding established HSE procedures within designated business areas. Supporting and maintaining HSE management systems, conducting internal audits and inspections, and producing monthly reports and improvement plans. Delivering HSE training across all levels, driving a proactive safety culture. Leading incident and near-miss investigations, developing preventative measures and standard reduction programmes. Conducting facility risk assessments and onboarding new starters from an HSE perspective. Participating in country-level HSE meetings and supporting sustainability reporting initiatives. Overseeing the maintenance of facility compliance registers and supporting waste register management. The HSE Advisor will have: NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety (essential). Strong HSE experience, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or facilities environments. Good knowledge of relevant legislation, ISO and British Standards.
