Principal Building Surveyor

We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning surveying consultancy who have been listed as a Times Top 100 company to work for in the UK, who are looking to appoint a Principal Building Surveyor on a permanent contract. This will be a full-time position based in London, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and a salary of £65,000 - £75,000 per annum. The ideal candidate will hold an MRICS membership, have business development experience as well as a proven track record within contract administration. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Managing a team consisting of Building Surveyor/Assistant Building Surveyor/Trainee Building Surveyor/Year-out Student Assist Programme Manager with Client liaison to include formulation of briefs, fee proposals, presentation of schemes, and/or services, project programming and other matters affecting delivery of service Act as the Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent on a wide range of building types Carry out the necessary research to support Business Plan activities and Sector knowledge for opportunities and networking Assist in the preparation and drafting of quality questions for tender opportunities Mange risk, including any on-going PI issues relevant to your projects Experience required: MRICS membership Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Contract administration on a wide range of residential public sector projects Ability to prove business retention/development within surveying consultancies Rewards and Benefits: Life assurance cover for all colleagues (x4 annual salary) Scottish Widows pension and salary sacrifice (4.5% contribution matched) Medicash, a health cash plan including shopping, gym discounts etc Bonus payments for introducing new people to the business Professional development scheme available to all colleagues Reimbursement of professional fees Flexible working hours Agile working Birthday leave Long service additional leave Access to in-house mental health first aiders Two corporate social responsibility (CSR) days in each calendar year £50 contribution to each charity event you take part in Buying/selling leave policy Working hours: 35 hours per week Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
