MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Diploma in Agriculture or equivalent Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED Manages irrigation programmes Manages fertilizer programmes Manages pest control programmes Manages weed and fungus control programmes Estimates harvest per hectare Monitors use of and knows how to use farming equipment and machinery Supervises all steps of the production process including planting, fertilizing, harvesting and packing Supervises, checks and corrects work Reads and plans work programmes Manages time and attendance Issues verbal and written instructions to production labour teams Manages staff/team ONLY short-listed candidates will be contacted
