R&D Process Development Chemist - Italy (Mortara - PV) Process Development Team is a bridge between R&D and Operations : its aim is to study, test, and develop processes for the safe and efficient scale-up of new products, implementing consistent and optimized operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate industrial chemist ready to work as a change agent, introducing and improving workflows and procedures. The ideal candidate is capable of working on challenging projects related to chemistry and processability, from kilo-lab scale to manufacturing scale. Manage the scale-up of new synthesis processes, making laboratory techniques more production-like, and identifying suitable operating procedures, equipment, and pilot plant configurations for a smooth, safe, and fast scale-up. Collaborate with R&D Chemists and the Production Team to develop scalable chemical processes by identifying critical processing steps and parameters, considering equipment limitations, supporting new investment projects, and working with safety teams to ensure safe transfer and operation. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to supply representative and consistent samples for market expansion, support industrialization, and prepare technology transfer documentation. You are an Industrial Chemist with proven experience in fine chemicals scale-up from bench to manufacturing. You have a problem-solving mindset, with curiosity for chemistry and processes. You possess a good understanding of organic chemistry, laboratory techniques, and process physics, along with strong data analysis skills. You stay updated with new technologies and can propose process modifications, including literature review and patent searches. You are flexible, dynamic, and able to work independently or as part of a team, supporting product launches from feasibility to industrialization. You are fluent in Italian and English.
