Senior Accounts Payable Accountant

SENIOR ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ACCOUNTANT Responsibilities Manage the invoice registration cycle for suppliers within a team of 3, covering 3 companies of the GXO Group in Italy. Handle accounting of supplier invoices, both through purchase orders and manual entries, including capital expenditure entries. Interact daily with warehouse administrative staff to gather data useful for activities. Prepare automated ad hoc reports to monitor activities. Conduct checks to ensure correct posting of accounting entries at month-end. Participate in monthly accounting closures. Review existing processes with a focus on continuous improvement and automation. Operate in compliance with workplace safety regulations (D.Lgs. 81 / 08) and company safety procedures to protect company assets. Ensure SOX compliance across all relevant processes. Qualifications Degree in Economics. Previous experience (at least 2 years) in supplier invoicing, preferably in medium-large or multinational companies. Basic knowledge of Italian accounting principles and regulations for maintaining mandatory accounting books. Understanding of electronic invoicing processes and VAT regulations. Proficiency in English. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Preferably familiar with AS400 and Oracle systems. Ability to manage priorities to complete tasks within deadlines and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various professional levels (warehouse staff, clients, suppliers, etc.).
