For our office in Milan, we are looking for: ICT – Infrastructure Senior Specialist The ICT – Infrastructure Senior Specialist is responsible for the strategic oversight, governance, and continuous improvement of the company’s IT infrastructure, including both on-premise and cloud-based environments. This role is crucial in ensuring the infrastructure meets current and future business needs in terms of availability, performance, security, and scalability, while coordinating external service providers. Responsibilities: Infrastructure Governance & Architecture: Support the definition and maintenance of standards and roadmaps for IT infrastructure (network, servers, storage, cloud services). Ensure operational continuity of global IT infrastructure assets, proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Evaluate and recommend on-premise and cloud infrastructure solutions to support business growth and innovation. Align systems and platforms with corporate IT strategy and security policies. Coordinate support for complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption. Maintain an accurate inventory of IT infrastructure assets on the CMDB, ensuring proper documentation. Oversee IT processes in an international service delivery context, fostering continuous improvement. Service Provider Oversight: Act as the point of contact for external service providers managing infrastructure and network operations. Monitor and review performance of managed service contracts (SLAs, KPIs, compliance). Participate in service review meetings and lead incident escalations as needed. Project Management & Execution: Lead and coordinate infrastructure projects (e.g., migrations, upgrades, cloud transitions). Collaborate with the digital transformation team to support infrastructure delivery within projects and work with the IT security team on risk management, including vulnerability assessments and mitigation plans. Gather requirements from internal stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Security & Compliance: Work closely with the Information Security team to ensure infrastructure compliance with cybersecurity standards. Support audits and compliance activities related to infrastructure (e.g., GDPR, GxP, ISO 27001). Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and performance optimization. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience in a similar role, preferably in the Pharmaceutical or Life-science sector. Required Skills: Experience in managing IT infrastructure, ideally in a hybrid (on-premise/cloud) environment. Knowledge of service level, capacity, financial, availability, and IT service continuity management. Proven experience with Cloud infrastructure environments (IaaS, PaaS) from main vendors (Azure, GCP). Third-party contract and delivery management skills (performance, planning, contract financial management). Service management skills for internal customer relationship management. Preferred Skills: Soft skills including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. Leadership abilities. Excellent analytical and technical skills. Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Strong planning and organizational skills.
