Position Summary We are seeking a Controller for our location in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Dana supports the passenger vehicle, commercial truck, off-highway, industrial, and stationary equipment markets. Founded in 1904, Dana employs approximately 42,000 people across 33 countries, with reported sales exceeding $10.4 billion in 2024. Within the Hydraulics business unit, the Controller will oversee the financial activities of the Sales and Assembly Centers in Cavenago and Mestrino. The role is based in Reggio Emilia, with regular transfers to Cavenago di Brianza (MB) and Mestrino (PD). The Controller will drive financial growth and profitability, acting as a business partner to the General Manager. Responsibilities include managing accounting and reporting systems, overseeing local book closing, and ensuring accurate reporting to headquarters. The position reports to the local General Manager and the Hydraulics Head of Controlling. Main Responsibilities Accounting and Administration: Coordinate finance and accounting operations, including general ledger and tax compliance with local GAAP. Ensure all local obligations are met. Oversee statutory accounts, tax, and audit activities, managing stakeholder relationships. Management and Financial: Implement and maintain control frameworks (SOX), KPIs. Ensure compliance with Group finance policies; review high-risk accounts via monthly reconciliations. Bridge statutory and management reporting. Conduct detailed financial analyses for the Business Unit. Support the local GM in strategy development, action plan implementation, and KPI monitoring. Support business case development and presentation. Monitor margins and provide recommendations to the GM. Coordinate with internal and external auditors. Develop BI tools for key indicator reporting and sales analysis. Budgeting & Reporting: Manage monthly and quarterly reports according to US GAAP. Prepare annual budgets, mid-term plans, and forecasts aligned with the Group calendar. Present monthly financial results and variance analyses to management. Job Position Requirements 4-6 years of experience in a similar role. University degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or equivalent; CPA is a plus. Experience in international, matrix organizations, preferably in sales or production; auditing experience is advantageous. Strong skills in accounting, finance, and budgeting; prior accounting background. Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX principles is beneficial. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports and projections. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced Excel skills; experience with HFM and SmartView is a plus. Fluent in English. Soft Skills Motivated, self-starter, flexible, hardworking, and capable of working under pressure. Team player and builder. Strong communication skills.
