Now, let’s make sure you’re a good fit for the role: Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and clean architecture. Implement UI components and interactions using Jetpack Compose . Integrate and work with GraphQL APIs and other data sources. Apply best practices for Kotlin Coroutines and Flow to manage asynchronous programming. Ensure high-quality code through unit and instrumental testing . Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Bitrise). Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in Android development, proactively suggesting innovative solutions. Must-have Skills (4 years of experience) Native Android Development: 4 years of professional experience. Kotlin Expertise: Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow . Jetpack Compose: Solid experience building UIs with Compose. System & API Design: Familiarity with data structures, system design, design patterns, and API designs. Testing: Experience with unit and instrumental testing. English Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Nice-to-have: Experience working with GraphQL . Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI/CD or Bitrise. A passion for news and the creativity to introduce new ideas and technologies. Background in journalism . Work Location: Hybrid position (3 days onsite at the office and 2 days working from home per week). — work from our offices while collaborating closely with the team.
