Who We're Looking For We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join the Venga team and help grow and scale our products to the next level. This challenging role requires you to possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for driving engineering excellence. As an Engineering Manager at Venga, you will oversee the development and execution of projects, lead a cross-functional squad, manage the career and provide growth opportunities to your engineers, and collaborate closely with other teams and functions to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products. What You'll Be Doing Manage and lead a cross-functional engineering squad (mobile backend), providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to help them grow and succeed in their roles. Collaborate with product management and security to develop and prioritize product roadmaps that align with Venga's overall strategy. Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning within your team, encouraging engineers to explore new technologies, share knowledge, and improve processes. Drive technical decision-making , ensuring that your team's solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the technical landscape, staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity. Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and collaboration across the Venga ecosystem. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of your team's work, using data to inform product decisions and drive growth. Communicate technical plans, progress, and results to stakeholders, including product leaders, designers, and other engineering teams. Who You Are & What You'll Need Minimum of 5 years experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in an engineering manager or similar role . Servant leadership mindset and an ability to inspire and motivate others. Experience growing, coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback to team members, including having had difficult conversations. Familiarity with agile and scrum best practices. Experience breaking down large initiatives into smaller, user-centric milestones. Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders, successfully aligning and setting expectations on scope and delivery. Experience navigating ambiguous and changing product requirements and successfully delivering a winning product. A very high level of English . Nice to have Blockchain and Web3 experience. FinTech experience. Familiarity with compliance, AML and regulation. ISO/IEC 27001 experience. What we offer Full-Time Employment Contract . Own your time company culture - manage start and finish work times within each day. Mandatory office days : Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with core office hours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A sunny office in Barcelona, less than 50 meters away from the beach! A brand new MacBook or similar option of your choice. 25 vacation days (more than the Spanish norm). If you do not live in Barcelona, you will be full-remote , but you must be within a maximum time zone difference of 3 hours from Barcelona
