ALPS is law firm insurance made easy, and we’re seeking a Staff Accountant with a strong passion for numbers, financial analysis, and accuracy to join our finance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial statements, performing reconciliations, and assisting with audits and regulatory filings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with a salary range of $55,000 - $75,000, depending on experience. Essential Job Functions
- Prepare and process claims payables twice per week
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts across multiple subsidiaries
- Produce monthly Statutory and GAAP financial statements within required timelines
- Assist with preparing and filing quarterly and annual regulatory financial statements
- Calculate and record deferred income taxes and current tax expenses on a consolidated basis for parent and subsidiary companies
- Prepare audit schedules and assist with annual financial audits and state regulatory exams
- Support the finance team with daily tasks and monthly reporting requirements
- Provide customer service support for ALPS Corporation and subsidiaries as needed
- Perform other duties and participate in meetings as assigned

Education / Experience: Associate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Proficient with GAAP and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Employees must be well organized and possess the ability to prioritize the workload
Compensation details: 55000-75000 Yearly Salary
