Senior Network Engineer with Security Clearance

Title: Senior Network Engineer Location: Dahlgren, Virginia (fully ON-SITE) Clearance Required: Top Secret Certification Required: Security (or IAT II equivalent) Top Skills Required: -Experience within layers 2-3 of the OSI model, network management software, Vlans, OSPF -Familiarity with models of TACLANES -10 years of Networking experience Job Description: TEKsystems is seeking a Network Engineer in Dahlgren, Virginia, that will be responsible for: o maintaining multiple computing environments by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance, and managing network configuration consistency. o provide engineering, design, and implementation solutions for multiple network architectures. Responsibilities: o Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, & other data networks. o Experience with network routers and switch configuration experience. Environment includes Artysen, Cisco, Mellanox and Asante switches. o Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance. o Perform network modeling and analysis. o Define diagrams and designs for business technology initiatives. o Enforce policies for standardizing systems. o Familiarity with researching communication networks o Must have strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills o Strong attention to detail, good documentation skills, ability to write clear, concise project reports o Ability to function with minimal instruction or supervision, or as a part of larger team reporting to formal project • This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret) • Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required o Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
