Immediate Opening: Child and Youth Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) - Minot AFB, ND Location: Minot Air Force Base, Minot, North Dakota Your Expertise Is a Critical Need for Military Youth. Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed behavioral health professional to fill an urgent opening as a Child and Youth Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) at Minot AFB, ND. This is a vital onsite role focused on supporting the mental and emotional well-being of military-connected children and youth within a youth center setting. You will be a trusted source of stability, working directly with children, families, program staff, and military leadership to deliver short-term, non-medical behavioral health services. Your work will empower young people to navigate the unique stressors of military life, from frequent moves to deployments and the challenges of reintegration. What You'll Do * Be a Trusted Guide: Provide in-person, solution-focused counseling to children and adolescents of active-duty service members. * Be a Beacon of Support: Deliver behavioral support services in youth centers, after-school programs, and activity-based settings. * Strengthen the Family Unit: Facilitate consultations with parents, youth staff, school personnel, and command staff. * Build Resilience: Present training and workshops on topics such as stress management, transitions, grief, and emotional regulation. * Engage the Community: Support youth programs, summer camps, and other on-demand events or initiatives. * Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with military branch Points of Contact (POCs) to ensure services meet the needs of the installation. Schedule & Site Details This is an onsite role based at a youth center on Minot Air Force Base. * Your schedule will be tailored to youth programming needs and may include afternoon, early evening, or school holiday hours. * Travel may be required for on-base events or regional support assignments. Requirements * We are looking for a dedicated professional who is ready to make a profound impact. * Master's degree in a behavioral health field (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Psychology). * An active, unrestricted license in the U.S. as one of the following: * Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) * Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) * Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) * Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) * Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) * Please note: LMSW, LADC, supervised, or associate-level licenses are NOT eligible. * A deep understanding of military family life and the challenges unique to service member dependents. * Experience working independently and managing behavioral interventions for children and adolescents. * U.S. citizenship and fluency in English. * Must pass all federal and installation-specific background checks and suitability screenings. * Desired Qualifications * Previous military service or direct experience with military-connected communities. * Familiarity with youth program environments, child development, and group dynamics. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
