Senior Linux System Administrator with Security Clearance

About This Job Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within GoldenTech, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a system administrator. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and play a vital role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain storage connected to a Storage Area Network (SAN) Possess knowledge of block-level protocols, specifically iSCSI Maintain Hypervisors using VMware Conduct cross-department training and end-user training Perform root cause analysis and resolve faults and errors in applications Develop recommendations for enhancing software support services Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures Update work instruction documentation and standard operating procedures Ensure systems and applications comply with Department of Defense (DoD) directives, including DISA STIG and IAVM bulletins What’s In It For You: Competitive wages Medical and dental coverage 401(k) plan Paid time off Rewards & recognition programs Work Location: Hill Air Force Base, Utah Travel: Less than 10% US Citizenship Required: This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements. Clearance Requirement: An active final Secret clearance is required upon hire. The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. An active Top Secret clearance is preferred. Certification Requirement: The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements upon hire. Required Education, Experience, & Skills: A technical degree in computer science or a related IT field, with the following experience: HS Diploma and 16 years of relevant experience, or BS/BA Degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or MS/MA Degree and 10 years of relevant experience Experience and Skills in the Following: System administration, including system design, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Use of DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliance Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Scripting to automate tasks using PowerShell and/or AWS Console Familiarity with Virtual Desktops and virtualization (VMware ESXi preferred) Experience in large-scale deployments as an administrator Knowledge of cloud migration and AWS Cloud Platform (IaaS preferred) Load balancing/failover technologies General knowledge of antivirus, vulnerability scanning software, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) User acceptance testing (UAT) and industry certifications An active Top Secret clearance is preferred but not required.
