TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Saint Croix Falls, Wisconsin, 54024! Pay Information $2,398 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day/Night Rotate for weekends only Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid Nursing license required Certifications: BLS ACLS NRP AWHONN EMF Intermediate certification preferred STABLE certification preferred Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year OB experience Ability to work in labor & delivery, postpartum, mom/babe couplets, and well baby nursery Comfortable taking post-surgical patients Description: Department focused on Labor and Delivery services. The unit has 6 labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum beds. C-sections are performed in the main operating room. There are no triage or postpartum beds available. The department averages about 17 births per month and around 220 births per year. The facility adheres to AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios. Common patient diagnoses include labor, delivery, postpartum, and well baby care for babies over 34 weeks. Patients under 34 weeks are transferred out. VBACs and TOLACs are not performed. The unit can administer IV antibiotics, IV dextrose, and care for feeders/growers and bili babies. Post-surgical patients can also be accommodated on the unit. Nurses are required to titrate drips, including oxytocin, magnesium, and insulin. There is no charge nurse; the unit is staffed with 2 nurses per shift. A house supervisor is available in-house 24/7 and is NRP trained. An OB/Neonatologist is present in-house during the day on weekdays and on-call after hours and on weekends/holidays. Anesthesia is available in-house during weekdays and on-call during other times. Telemetry/monitor techs are present, and nurses are not required to interpret their own strips. The EFM system in use is OBIX. Schedules are set by management approximately 2 months in advance, accommodating requests when possible. Weekend requirements include working every 3rd weekend and holidays every 3rd holiday. Floating to Med-Surg may be required when there are no OB patients. Scrubs are provided for staff. Unit specific orientation consists of 2 shifts.
