Job Description Job Description About Us We are a leading non-profit pro bono law firm serving the Southern Florida area, dedicated to meeting the civil legal needs of Broward County’s diverse and multiethnic communities. Position Summary We are currently seeking Paralegals to join our team. Reporting directly to the Supervising Attorney and supporting unit attorneys, the Paralegal will play a key role in case management and client support. This position requires a high level of independence, professionalism, and compassion. Key Responsibilities Conduct client intake interviews and gather relevant documentation (e.g., tax returns, pay stubs, benefit statements). Make calls to clients, opposing parties, and county offices. Schedule appointments and manage case files. Review court dockets and conduct background and eviction history checks. Research rental properties and landlord ownership. Draft legal documents, correspondence, and intake summaries. Prepare basic household budgets and update client files accordingly. Deliver and file legal documents as needed. Qualifications Paralegal Certificate or equivalent on-the-job experience. Strong legal research and writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in basic computer applications. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Commitment to compassionate client service and teamwork. Dependable and punctual work record.
