Surgery - Neurosurgery Physician

Schedule & Practice Details: We are seeking one full-time locum APC to provide support due to FMLA. You'll work closely with two neurosurgeons, assisting them with clinic, call, and surgical responsibilities. Clinic: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, managing 10-12 patients per day . Shifts: 12-hour shifts are also available. Call Frequency: 1:3 weekdays/weekends with a 20-minute beeper response time . Responsibilities & Procedures: This is a comprehensive role requiring recent neurosurgery experience, including surgical cases. Your duties will include: Surgical First Assist Bedside Procedures Independent Rounding: Across all hospital units, including NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU (surgical and medical), and general med/surg floor. Consultations: Hospital and ER/UC consults. Clinic Duties: Outpatient consultations, post-operative/post-hospital patient care, fracture care, patient phone calls, medication refills, and FMLA documentation. Procedures you'll be involved with include: Craniotomy Craniectomy Spinal fusions Decompressive surgeries Interventions for aneurysms, tumors, and nerve injuries Requirements: Minimum Board Certification: Board Eligible (BE) Experience: Must have recent neurosurgery experience, including surgical cases. EMR System: Proficiency with Cerner EMR system is required.
