Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Behavioral Health Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel 1 year experience required BLS required Previous experience in gero psych unit required Recent (within last year) Senior Behavioral Health in ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL setting experience required Floating required Blocked scheduling may be accommodated Scope of role: Provides behavioral health evaluation of assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Provides assistance to nursing peers as requested. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the nursing field.
