About the Role As the Head Mechanic, youll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the workshop. From diagnostics and complex engine repairs to mentoring junior technicians, your role will be varied and impactful. Working Hours Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM Saturday: Flexible hours Perks include weekly team lunches and regular team outings to maintain a positive, collaborative atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Carrying out diagnostics, engine work, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles Overseeing workflow and job allocation in the workshop Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on schedule Liaising with management and contributing to the continuous improvement of workshop operations Maintaining a safe and clean working environment Key Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on mechanical experience, including engine diagnostics and repairs Strong technical knowledge across a range of vehicles and systems Ability to manage workshop operations and lead by example Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail A proactive and reliable attitude formal qualifications or a driving licence are not required
