Job Title: Maths Lecturer (1 or 2 Positions Available) Location: Carlisle Start Date: As soon as possible Contract Duration: Until October half term, with potential extension depending on internal recruitment Working Hours: Full-time Delivery Level: GCSE Maths Pay: £30 per hour Role Overview: We are seeking one or two enthusiastic and experienced Maths Lecturers to join our team. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for delivering high-quality GCSE Maths instruction to students, supporting their academic progress, and contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective GCSE Maths lessons. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. Support students in achieving their academic goals. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and consistency. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities as required. Requirements: A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent). Proven experience teaching Maths in an educational setting. Strong communication and organisational skills. Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and learner success. Desirable: Experience teaching within a further education or secondary school environment. Familiarity with the current GCSE Maths curriculum and assessment requirements.
