Interim Financial Controller 3-Month Contract | £400–425/day (Inside IR35) | Hybrid: North Bristol Why join this client? Fl How you'll make an impact This 3-month contract offers an opportunity to demonstrate your financial controls and statutory reporting skills at a crucial time of growth. Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen financial governance, and deliver high-quality statutory accounts that underpin business decisions. Responsibilities: Prepare and file statutory accounts in line with accounting standards. Manage year-end audits and ensure timely regulatory filings. Lead corporate tax, VAT, and PAYE compliance (including PSAs). Develop tax strategy and manage legal entity structuring. Strengthen financial controls and mitigate compliance risk. Ensure banking covenant and funding transaction compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally to support financial and tax obligations. Support month and year-end close processes. You're detail-stimulated, proactive, and comfortable translating complex regulatory detail into practical business solutions. You'll be a strong communicator, keen to support others and drive continuous improvement across finance and the wider business. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent). Experience in statutory reporting and tax compliance. Strong UK tax knowledge (corporate tax, VAT, PAYE) plus IFRS. Proven statutory accounts preparation and audit management. Exposure to complex/multi-entity organisations and finance systems (ERP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel. Solid grasp of financial controls, risk management, and regulatory change. Analytically strong, adaptable, and comfortable working cross-functionally. Experience with tax strategy or legal entity structuring is beneficial. International tax/multi-jurisdictional reporting an advantage. Background in both practice (e.g., Big 4) and industry is a plus.
