Airfreight Specialist

For an international logistics service provider based in Hoofddorp, we are looking for an enthusiastic Import Air Freight Forwarder. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Description Handle air freight shipments according to internal procedures, including order entry, bookings, pickup arrangements, freight consolidation, and preparation of documentation. Manage administrative processing of incoming and outgoing invoices. Monitor shipments via track & trace and proactively communicate with customers to exceed their expectations. Maintain contact with airlines, local GSAs, and international partners. Contribute actively to the procurement and development of road transport services (both domestic and international), including identifying suitable logistics partners. Support management with additional tasks as needed. Profile 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar logistics role is a plus. Flexible mindset with no strict 9-to-5 mentality - willingness to work weekends when needed. Team player with strong listening and communication skills. Proactive, organized, and results-driven. Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
