TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVOR RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401! Pay Information $2,780 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required License: NC or Compact license required by start date Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Proficient in scrubbing cardiac cases CVOR experience Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. RTO cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation. Registered nurses will work 4 ten-hour shifts from 06:15 to 16:45. Call requirement is for 4 ten-hour shifts Monday through Friday. There may be weeks where registered nurses work 5 days if called in on their call weekend. The call expectation is for 2 days per week and every third weekend. On average, there will be 14 call days in a 6-week schedule. Registered nurses may be required to float to the main operating room on the same campus if there is low volume in CVOR. Registered nurses must work call shifts every third weekend. Candidates will be preassigned to units as needed during catastrophic events or disasters. Patient diagnoses include CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, aortic dissection, TAVR, laser lead extractions, aortic root, carotids, thoracic cases, pericardial window, ECMO, and Impella. Shifts for registered nurses will have a patient ratio of 1:1. Registered nurses will be expected to scrub various cardiac and thoracic surgical cases. Candidates must have experience working with the EPIC documentation system. Centralized staffing will be determined by the manager. Candidates should be comfortable floating to other units and have no restrictions regarding floating. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No RTO will be allowed during the first week of assignment. All candidates must complete testing within 48 hours after signing and enter the lab within this time frame. Candidates are encouraged to provide two manager/supervisor references from the last 12 months. Travel pairs are allowed but assignments must be on different units. Candidates cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or exceed 60 hours in a week. Modules will need to be completed pre-start and annually. Modules vary by specialty and hours.
