SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Location: Bristol (BS16) Start Date: September Contract: Full-Time The Role: A primary school in the BS16 area of Bristol is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September . This is a full-time role, continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential to extend further. You will work closely with both the classroom teacher and a child with special educational needs (SEN), providing one-on-one support and ensuring their educational and social development is nurtured within a supportive and structured environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the teacher in planning and delivering engaging activities, both in and outside the classroom. Provide consistent, tailored support to meet the individual needs of the child. Help the child feel comfortable and confident in their learning environment. Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the child. Establish and maintain predictable routines to help reduce anxiety. Communicate using clear, concise, and literal language. Prepare the child in advance for any changes in routine.
