Freelance Site Manager Location: South Argyll & Bute Duration: 4 weeks Rate: Competitive Hourly / Day Rate Peace Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a small civil package in the South of Argyll & Bute. This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of a site, manage subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to spec. The Project A small-scale coring and piling civils package as part of a structural reinforcement. Works include site prep, coring, piling, and structural work. You’ll be reporting to the main contractor and expected to run the day-to-day site operations independently. Key Responsibilities Manage all on-site activities, ensuring health & safety compliance at all times Supervise piling works and monitor progress against programme Coordinate material deliveries and manage site logistics Maintain site records, including daily diaries, inductions, and permits Liaise with engineers, suppliers, and the wider project team Identify and resolve any issues on site proactively Requirements Proven experience managing small to medium civils packages SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid (Essential) Strong knowledge of groundworks Able to work independently and confidently manage subcontractors Own transport and right to work in the UK If you're an experienced Site Manager looking for your next freelance role in a scenic location with a hands-on, practical civils project - we want to hear from you .
