SEN Teaching Assistant Location: BS16, Bristol Start Date: September Contract: Full-Time A supportive and inclusive school in the BS16 area of Bristol is seeking a compassionate and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. You will work closely with the class teacher and provide one-to-one support to a child with special educational needs, helping them thrive both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Support the classroom teacher with lesson delivery and engaging activities. Build a trusting, consistent relationship with the child. Cater to the individual needs of the child, promoting comfort and confidence. Encourage social development and independence. Prepare the child for routine changes using clear, concise communication. Follow the daily lesson plan and help the child complete tasks successfully. Ideal Candidate: Patient, empathetic, and reliable. Experience with or strong interest in working with children with SEN. Comfortable adapting to changing needs and routines. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude. Working with Long-term Teachers: We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
