Tax Senior

A well-established and dynamic accountancy practice with over 50 years of history is looking to appoint a Tax Senior to join their growing tax team in Central London/St Albans. The firm provides a full suite of services to a broad range of SME clients, including audit, accounts, management consultancy, payroll and taxation, and is known for its supportive culture and long-standing client relationships. Reporting into the Tax Manager, the successful candidate will manage a portfolio of 150-200 personal tax clients, handling compliance and advisory services for a variety of individuals including company directors, landlords, self-employed clients and high-net-worth individuals. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong personal tax background to join a reputable, mid-sized practice with clear progression offering up to £58,000, hybrid working 4 days per week and 25 days holiday. Tax Senior Job Overview Deliver a comprehensive personal tax compliance service, including for self-employed individuals and partnerships Prepare and review self-assessment and capital gains tax returns Complete P11D and PSA returns for employee benefits Prepare Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings (ATED) returns Manage communication with clients and HMRC regarding tax compliance and enquiries Monitor deadlines, budgets and complete weekly timesheets Attend internal meetings, CPD sessions and training events as needed Support other members of the tax team with ad hoc tasks and technical queries Tax Senior Job Requirements Prior experience managing own tax portfolio Qualified or part-qualified ATT (or equivalent experience) Working knowledge of personal and capital gains tax rules Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience using CCH tax software Tax Senior Salary & Benefits £48,000 - £58,000 per annum DOE/quals 25 days holiday (with the ability to buy and sell holiday each year) Hybrid working (4 days per week WFH) Pension provision Health cash plan Season ticket loan for travel Occupational sick pay scheme Life assurance scheme Frequent and varied events throughout the year Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
