Logistics Manager - Buffalo, NY

Excellence in Waterproofing, Roofing and Surfacing Technology The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all movement of raw materials and finished products in and out of the facilities, including handling damage claims and inspecting returned items. The role also involves managing internal movement, storage, preservation, and maintaining traceability. Essential Functions Supervise shipping and receiving personnel, ensuring timely and accurate operations. Ensure compliance with legal regulations for hazardous materials shipments both domestically and internationally. Develop and update departmental KPIs. Manage transport damage claims and related freight issues. Oversee the receiving and inspection of customer returns. Manage inventory effectively. Maintain good business practices: cooperation, courtesy, honesty, and professionalism. Adhere to safety guidelines and report all accidents. Ensure reliability and punctuality, beginning work on time and adhering to schedules. Coordinate with freight forwarding services. Comply with regulatory requirements, including export, import, warehousing, and hazmat shipping. Maintain inventory and shipment records in the ERP system. Manage the release, freight, and customs clearance of goods. Work effectively as part of a team. Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively. Ensure all departmental employees are trained, competent, and aware of safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. Qualifications Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and write routine reports and correspondence. Technical Ability: Proficiency in basic math, computer literacy, and knowledge of hazmat shipping requirements per 49 CFR, IMDG, TDS, ADR, and IATA, including labeling, placarding, and manifests. Knowledge of HS and HTS tariff codes. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
