Expert VMware Systems Engineer

To strengthen its internal team, it seeks to hire a VCUBE S.r.l., a SYS-DAT Group company based in Reggio Emilia : EXPERT VMWARE SYSTEMS ENGINEER We are looking for a VMware Expert Systems Engineer to work both at our headquarters in Reggio Emilia and at our client sites in Emilia, between Parma and Bologna. The ideal candidate should be proactive and eager for growth, able to work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute positively to the team. Requirements Several years’ experience in Microsoft or Linux environments, preferably in an enterprise setting Extensive experience managing virtualization infrastructure based on VMware vSphere 5.x / 6.x Skills in installing and upgrading vSphere / vCenter platforms Experience in creating and configuring virtual machines hosting Windows or Linux servers Knowledge of Networking (switches, routers, load balancers) and protocols (TCP/IP, NFS, CIFS, etc.) Understanding of Security measures (Firewall, VPN, etc.) Knowledge of Storage solutions Familiarity with network services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory Ability to analyze system performance and optimize accordingly Additional Knowledge Familiarity with other VMware products such as vRealize Operations, vSphere Replication, Site Recovery Manager, Orchestrator, vRealize Automation, Log Insight, NSX, Horizon View, AirWatch Experience managing and configuring blade servers from Cisco, HP, IBM/Lenovo Knowledge in related areas such as Backup, Database, and Application management Personal Skills and Experience Strong team-oriented mindset Flexibility and problem-solving skills High customer focus and enthusiasm Good stress and time management Organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills Proficiency in English (written and spoken, B2-C1 level preferred) Offer Details Competitive salary based on skills and experience Opportunities for personal growth and ongoing education in a dynamic environment Position based at the Reggio Emilia office of VCUBE S.r.l.
