Automotive Subject Matter Expert (Sales)

Ardent Learning is a leader in the Automotive Industry with 30 years of experience in creating and delivering training. We partner with manufacturers to provide sales, service, and technical training, as well as product launch and ride-and-drive events. We are seeking Contract (1099) Automotive Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to consult on developing our instructor-led (ILT) and virtual instructor-led training (vILT) programs for future opportunities. SMEs are thought leaders with deep expertise in their subject areas, able to articulate current and future industry landscapes. They will consult, research, and validate training courses for our clients. Currently, we are interested in candidates with automotive sales expertise who have served as operators at the dealership level. Responsibilities include: Staying informed about automotive industry trends, best practices, and innovative approaches Collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver organized, well-designed learning assets Facilitating ILT and vILT sessions as needed This is a contract role with rates around $100/hour, depending on requirements. What You'll Bring Understanding of dealership and OEM functions, practices, and roles Knowledge of customer satisfaction and product quality indicators Understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly Up-to-date industry knowledge in automotive subject areas 3–5 years experience consulting in an SME role for training development 3–5 years experience facilitating in the automotive industry Experience at the OEM level is a plus Previous dealership operator experience (Dealer Principal, General Manager, etc.) is required Who We Are Ardent offers a small company feel with big results.
