Our company is seeking a Branch Sales Manager to be located at our Tampa, FL branch that will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth and strengthens customer relationships within the branch’s market area. This role oversees sales strategy, develops new business, supports key accounts, and ensures exceptional service. The manager leads and develops both inside and outside sales teams, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture through coaching and accountability. Success requires leveraging ERP and CRM systems for data-driven decisions, process optimization, and growth opportunities, while working closely with operations, purchasing, and corporate leadership to achieve revenue, margin, and service goals.
Branch Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership & Business Development
- Develop and execute the branch’s sales plan to achieve or exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into untapped market segments.
- Ensure sales team fosters strong, long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
- Manage and execute branch margin and pricing initiatives, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
- Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Build and lead a customer-centric sales culture, emphasizing systems, processes, and accountability to ensure consistent and reliable service.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication, problem resolution, and value-added solutions.
- Implement structured processes that promote accountability and efficiency across the sales team.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure order accuracy, timely fulfillment, and an exceptional overall customer experience.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Directly manage, mentor, and develop both inside and outside sales teams, ensuring alignment with branch and corporate sales strategies.
- Set clear goals, performance metrics, and accountability standards for the sales team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and identify opportunities for training and professional development.
- Provide product, market, and sales technique training to team members.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing sales professionals.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture that promotes teamwork and shared success.
- Partner with branch operations management to align sales efforts with inventory, logistics, and service capabilities.
- Market & Product Expertise
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aluminum products, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Leverage product knowledge to recommend appropriate solutions for customers.
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement while leveraging ERP and CRM systems to maximize sales effectiveness.
- Administrative & Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses for branch and corporate leadership.
- Manage branch sales budgets and expenses in line with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and credit terms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Branch Sales Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- 4+ years of B2B sales experience in industrial distribution, building materials, or metals industry (aluminum experience preferred).
- Proven track record in sales leadership and achieving growth targets.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze data, develop strategies, and execute action plans.
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 25% within assigned territory.
