Senior Authorised Person (up to 33kV) Base Location: Slough, Southampton or Poole Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time Salary: Up to £63,000 (depending on experience) for a 37-hour week Are you ready to take the lead in high-voltage electrical operations and make a real impact in the power distribution sector? We're seeking a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join our dynamic team, supporting construction and asset replacement projects across SSEN networks. This is a hands-on, site-based role where your expertise will be critical in ensuring safe and efficient electrical operations. What You'll Be Doing: Execute LV & HV/EHV switching, isolation, earthing, and safety documentation duties Develop switching schedules and methods of work Control and monitor electrical construction and fault restoration on HV/LV networks up to 33kV Lead emergency response and power restoration efforts Manage and supervise Jointer and Fitter teams Provide technical guidance and support to clients and colleagues Travel within the region, with occasional weekend and on-call duties What We're Looking For: Authorisation to conduct switching operations from LV to 11kV (33kV desirable) Strong safety-first mindset and operational excellence In-depth knowledge of DNO switchgear and associated plant Excellent communication and leadership skills Familiarity with current regulations, standards, and codes of practice 132kV Authorisations would be desirable If you're ready to take the next step in your HV career and want to be part of a team that values technical excellence and leadership, get in touch with Nathaniel Watkins on 07918 588536 to find out more or apply.
