Production Manager (Milling Industry)

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee milling operations, ensuring efficient production of high-quality maize and wheat products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, team leadership, and process optimization within a milling environment. Requirements: Grade 12 (higher education advantageous). GMF Modules practical certification 10 years as a Production/Milling Manager (5 years in food safety) Strong mechanical skills (sifters, rollers, dryer systems) People management, IR, and performance management experience Certifications: Fumigation (PCO), OHS (First Aid/Fire Fighting), Raw Material Grading Forklift license (advantageous) Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end milling processes (raw material intake, conditioning, degermination, milling, and final product storage) Achieve technical KPIs (milling tons, extractions, downtime management, hygiene standards) Lead a team of 30 staff, including performance management, training, and shift planning Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000, HACCP, ISO, and OHS standards Optimize plant capacity, maintenance schedules, and stock reconciliation Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and food safety
