Lead Engineer Material Science

Join our team as a Lead Engineer Materials Science at Baker Hughes and contribute to high-quality engineering solutions for our customers. We collaborate across internal teams to ensure materials meet design and manufacturing requirements, especially in subsea oilfield equipment. Responsibilities include: Leading materials engineering efforts on projects and tenders Performing contract reviews and communicating requirements Managing requirements and change tracking systems Overseeing client communications Expertise in metallic and non-metallic materials, corrosion, coatings, and manufacturing methods Qualifications: BSc or MSc in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Corrosion, or Welding Experience in offshore or subsea oil and gas industry preferred Deep understanding of corrosion and manufacturing processes Familiarity with industry standards such as NORSOK, ISO, ASME, API, ASTM, DNV Excellent communication skills in English Additional Information: Flexible working hours available Travel as required Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Problem-solving mindset We offer a supportive environment focused on development, well-being, and innovation, with benefits including medical care, insurance, and flexible work arrangements.
