Job Description
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Lead strategic and operational automation initiatives across assembly, material flow, testing, and information systems. Define and execute the company-wide automation roadmap aligned with corporate goals in efficiency, quality, and digitalization. Manage project portfolio including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Specify automation concepts with internal and external stakeholders. Functionally lead a cross-disciplinary team (project engineers, PLC programmers, automation specialists). Collaborate with CoCs, IT / Digitalization, Production, and R&D for system implementation and MES integration. Monitor progress, risks, and KPIs of automation projects. Standardize automation solutions and scout new technologies. Ensure successful handover of solutions to serial production. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or similar. Several years of experience in automation projects, ideally in manufacturing or high-tech environments. Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems (PLC, robotics, vision systems, communication protocols). Solid understanding of electrical / mechanical engineering and industrial IT (ERP, MES, OPC UA, MQTT, IoT). Experience in cross-functional project management and system integration. Familiarity with lean principles and automation standardization. Language skills: fluent in English and Italian, knowledge of German is advantageous.
