Our client, a leader in RISC-V and cutting-edge data center solutions, is driving this transformation and now seeks an OCP Architect to join their internal team. Your mission As an OCP Architect, you’ll lead the design and implementation of OCP-based rack and data center solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with the PCB team, system architects, backend leads, and external partners to deliver solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance. What our client offers: Flexible work schedules – empowering you to do your best work Competitive compensation – recognizing your experience and expertise A collaborative, learning-driven culture – grow alongside a world-class team Opportunities for career growth – your ambition drives the future Free coffee, snacks, and Spanish lessons – immerse yourself in Barcelona Visa sponsorship if needed – open to the best talent worldwide All of this in the vibrant city of Barcelona – innovation, sun, and culture Key Responsibilities: Architect and design rack and data center solutions based on OCP standards and best practices Work closely with PCB teams and system architects to ensure seamless integration of high-performance designs Provide technical leadership in working with stakeholders, including backend leads and customers, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions Guide the team towards scalable, efficient, and reliable OCP-based data center platforms Ensure power distribution, mechanical, and thermal design considerations are met Conduct procurement for PCB Bill of Materials and find alternatives when needed Address the unique hardware and firmware needs of AI-focused data centers Requirements: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a relevant field 8 years of experience in data center architecture roles Proven experience architecting rack and data center solutions based on OCP standards Working knowledge of OCP reference designs and related best practices Expertise in complex PCB designs (high-frequency signals and tight routing) Solid understanding of power distribution standards for data centers Experience with scale-up and scale-out networking (e.g., UALink, AFL, Infiniband, Ethernet, UEC) Familiarity with data center infrastructure and management support Experience in thermal studies and mechanical studies Experience in procurement of PCB BoM and finding alternatives Knowledge of AI data center hardware and firmware requirements Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail English level C1 If you’re ready to join our client’s internal team and help shape the future of data center architecture in Europe, let’s talk.
