Job Description
Hillsdale College is seeking a dedicated and experienced ITS Service Desk Lead to join our Information Technology team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the college?s commitment to high-quality education by ensuring that all technology resources are accessible and functional. The ITS Service Desk Lead will manage the service desk operations and provide outstanding support to both students and faculty of Hillsdale College. Oversee daily operations of the IT service desk, ensuring efficient resolution of end-user issues. Manage a team of IT support staff, providing training and support as needed. Develop and implement policies and procedures for IT service management based on ITIL best practices. Monitor and report on service desk performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Act as a point of escalation for complex or critical issues, ensuring quick resolution. Coordinate with other IT team members to facilitate new software and hardware deployments. Maintain an inventory of spare parts and hardware, and manage software licenses. Ensure compliance with all security protocols and data protection guidelines. Strong technical skills including hands-on experience with various IT systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex IT issues. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team. Good project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
